What is the purpose of a web log you might ask. The idea of a web diary seems antithetical because a diary should be somewhat private, not out on the web for everyone to read. But I figure, who cares?! So, u are forewarned. this is a place for my rants and raves. If you're easily offended, then get the he!! outta my face. >:) j/k Occupation:Enginerd
...of what's left of my work day, i'm filling out a new entry. The sun's setting, i don't feel like getting started on something new at work, and looking forward to doing some Muy Thai w/ my buddy Keenan. It's funny how something unexpected can just click perfectly into a plan. We watched Meet the Robinsons last nite, and a song in it struck me as the perfect Closing Song to our wedding. (The only other song that i had in mind, but is sooo cliche, is "Closing Time" by Matchbox 20/Semisonic) i'm so happy that i found something different. It's just funny that both songs are sung by Rob Thomas. ^_^
Hello!!! one more year has passed! LOLOL... something majorly new with me is that i'm engaged to Mr. Kevin Lim. Check out our website: kevina.5gbfree.com. I kept meaning to start up a wedding journal, and i figured i should continue w/ this blog instead of starting up a new site. Hope you don't mind that the focus will be very fru fru related until this June. I really should have started documenting the wedding process a little earlier. Anyways, I have most of the stuff planned out. Timing, entertainment, and guestlist is all figured out. here's pix of the girls helping out making invitations.... and frank playing video games. http://picasaweb.google.com/msukevg/InvitationMaking :D Here's the sample that inspired me: .
Hiya, just filling out an entry to show that i'm still alive, since i came by xanga to check on ChiptheMunk's blog. And i'm SOO happy that his surgery went well. I knew he'd come out okay and it's great to see him able to walk and talk. So, a lot has happened in a year. it just happens to be Dine About Town again, and i just went to one this weekend w/ my Berkeley girl friends. Nothing spectacularly new, except that perhaps Jas' baby is half a year already. She was the talk of the group since she's the only one married and has a baby. As for me, work has gotten super hectic since my team lead left and made me in charge of the product. We just got through major presentations to the customer w/ only one action item. yay!! I got back from Shanghai, China after the new year, and it was amazingly cool. i went w/ Kev and his cousins and stayed w/ his aunt/uncle. the whole family is wonderful people. The next major trip won't be for a while considering how much i spent. hehe. Here's more pix. http://picasaweb.google.com/msukevg/ChinaShanghai0607
i just went to this really neat restaurant last nite. it was up in SF near Coit Tower, called Julius' Castle. I know... i either think of Julius the Monkey, or Orange Julius. But it's super nice, overlooking the bridges and piers. they served American Kobe beef, but it wasn't that much diff from usual steak. but that's just me. their dessert was hecka nice though. :) It was Cherry ice cream profiterole & pot o chocolate creme w/ a merengue drop. as ppl described it... it was a plate o surprises. it's all about the dessert!! hehe... besides the ppl of course. ;) Our group was a good composite, and even tho we went thru a full day of work, everyone was relatively lively. Arlo's sis & bf are cool. The atmosphere was pretty cool, like stepping into a victorian house of The Great Gatsby. Funny thing was that it's a really uppity place that i bet usually has only white customers, but last nite, i kept seeing asians coming and going. i'm willing to bet we were all there to take advantage of the cheaper meal that Dine-About-Town (http://www.sfdineabouttown.com/) has to offer. hehehe... cheap asian bastards. So sad, it was the last chance to do a DAT. Well, until next year.
January went by pretty slow. Feels like it should be march or april already.
I am creating a birthday calendar for myself. Can you please click on the link below and enter your birthday for me. Don't worry it is quick, and you don't have to enter your year of birth :).
i think i may have lost my camera again, so these are the only pix i have of the dine-about-town cruise from szu-huey's camera. Food was great just like Ellen said.
And here's a preggers Jasmine. Doesn't she have the mommy glow already?!
